This license item contains the Declipper, which restores distorted incoming audio, and Natural Dynamics, which pulls out the percussion instruments from the mix so they can be boosted separately to add more dynamics to the audio.
The Delossifier improves the sound of low bitrate MPEG (MPEG2, MP3) encoded files. It does two things:
The effect isn't a massive improvement, but it does make MPEG-compressed audio more listenable.
Advanced Dynamics is the difference between an "ok" sound and a great sound. It adds lots of features that improve the audio in subtle and sometimes less subtle ways.
Speech needs to be processed much more agressively than music to sound good - if someone moves away from their microphone, you don't want to hear a difference in the audio. And especially if they are talking over music, the only way to achieve that is by first adjusting the microphone levels, before mixing it with the music and sending it to the main processor.
The BIMP is a microphone processor and mixing console, built into Stereo Tool. Because The BIMP talks to the main Stereo Tool processing, it does not add any extra latency. Which means that using The BIMP, if you manage to configure your system such that the low latency output works at minimal latency (about 5 ms) you can have a microphone processor and mixing console added to the chain and still have only 5 ms of total latency.
