STudio: Stereo Tool studio monitoring processor

Most modern digital audio processors have too much latency to use for studio monitoring - you hear yourself talk with a delay. Often, older analog processors are used for studio processing, but:

  • They don't sound the same
  • Since they are old, if they stop working there are no good replacements.

STudio runs on a Raspberry Pi, and has been tuned to run at a latency of 4.5, 8 or 15 ms.

The resulting audio is not suitable for broadcasting. The audio quality is less than that of the normal Stereo Tool, especially for bass. But you can load existing Stereo Tool presets in it. STudio does not have a final limiter or clipper.

How to use it

Follow the instructions to install our Raspberry Pi 4 + HifiBerry SD card image.
